"more than just a car club"

 

The car club Emergency Procedures were revised on 1st March 2024 and approved for implementation by the Committee on 4th March 2024.

​

The new procedure is as follows;

​

1 Substitute the existing four card system with the Doctors ABCD Action Plan "DRSABCD" - Danger, Response, Send For Help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, Defibrillator.  (REFER LINK BELOW)

2 Make the Defibrillator Custodian the only dedicated position.

​

3 Encourage all members to download the Emergency Plus App on their mobile phone.

​

4 Adopt a standard “Presenters Guide” and conduct quarterly training/awareness sessions at general meetings.  (REFER LINK BELOW)

​

5 Arrange 6 monthly training sessions to be conducted at Sawtell Life Saving Club by their qualified trainers.

​

6 Make the DRSABCD Action Plan and the CPR/Defibrillator Quarterly Training Session a dedicated page in every monthly edition of the car club newsletter, Idle Torque.

​

7 Update the website to display the DRSABCD Action Plan and the CPR/Defibrillator Quarterly Training Session.
