EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

(Keeping Our Car Club Safe)

Our car club has purchased a Lifepak CR2 Fully Automatic Defibrillator, including accessory kit and training aids.

Presentations were held at several car club member's meetings and followed up with a training session conducted by the Sawtell Surf Life Saving Club, in their training rooms.

A Cardiac Emergency Protocol was developed for our car club, in consultation with several club members, including  club member Rolf Jauernig who is a retired Cardiologist.

Car club members are encouraged to become conversant with the "Four Card Procedure" set out below to ensure we are all well prepared for any situation which may arise during a car club event, either involving a car club member or a member of the general public.

Below is a list of members who nominated for the training session. Not all were able to attend due to other commitments and a follow up session will be arranged for these members and any others members who wish to attend.

Also, below is a training video produced by the AED Authority, the company we purchased our defibrillator from. Members are encouraged to view this video regularly to keep in touch with the correct use of CPR and the defibrillator.
